As i see it coming from centralized computing to desktop computing. Most people are being empowered, kids, students and all walks of life are already dependent on computers. The internet has revolutionized the way of life of the many.
Looking forward... few years from now there will be a switch to technology from distributed computing back to centralized processing. The growth of web technology has change the way computing being done. BACK to the beginning... STORAGE being centralized, APPLICATION residing on the server, single MANAGEMENT for all the infra. and others.
